Uno LX Lunox released

When planning my Summer Sale, I really wanted to release something as part of it but, not something so big that it would detract from it. A smaller soundset, if you will.

So, I sorted through all my synth patch folders for something fun to put together.

And found something.

Lurking in in my TAL Uno LX 2 folder were two small collections of around 40+ patches which, when combined, made a reasonably good number of presets for a smaller release. They were also made long enough ago that it was a version before Patrick at TAL had added the reverb, delay and unison options. Perfect. It meant there was enough sonic tweaking to be invited through merely adding one or more of those effects.

Me being me, I generally did more tweaking than that on each patch. But, I am an inveterate tweaker.

After my reworking of them, the combo of patches from the two collections made a reasonably coherent and broad sound palette. I made one or two extras to round things up to a nice, neat 100 patches.

Now Uno LX Lunox was done.

And then, in the process of writing a couple of demo tracks (retro synth and synthwave stuff), I put together 12 bonus drum patches. Lucky you.

As I say, it’s a broad canvas of analogue sounds, obviously with that Roland Juno vibe. But, I think the sounds go a little further than that too. Any analogue-heavy electronic genre is going to benefit from them and they’ll also lend some weight and authenticity to any retro synth style scoring/composing you may be doing.

And if you don’t have TAL Uno LX 2? Well… I still have 10% off discount codes for the synth for anyone who buys one of my Uno LX soundsets. 🙂

I think Uno LX Lunox makes an excellent addition alongside the Summer Sale itself and also the new freebie soundset I’m releasing, Zebra Vega II.

Dig it? Dig in.
