RePro-1 Renaissance is a signature collection of 128 patches, available exclusively at the u-he website.
Renaissance is something of a fond tribute to an era of dance music that was a formative part of my musical heritage.
Normally focused on synth programming for cinematic music, I became inspired to create Renaissance when listening to the quintessential soundtracks for Psygnosis’ futuristic racing game series, Wipeout. The games were crammed full of classic electronic tracks by the likes of Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Sasha, The Prodigy, Photek and Future Sound of London; brimming with energy and synthy goodness.
This soundset is unshamedly nostalgic for that late 90s/early 00s vibe, and even occasionally dips its toes into the worlds of Berlin School and Synthwave to add further colour.
Taking advantage of RePro-1’s stellar analogue modelling, advanced sequencing and sumptuous effects, Renaissance focuses on punchy low end, crunchy leads, and dynamic and driven riffs and basslines.
RePro-1 Renaissance is €35 and only available from the u-he website.
